What You'll Do

We are in need of a Product Owner for our Food Manufacturing & Distribution solution on Business Central. You’ll get the chance to help transform an existing solution originally based on NAV to an extension- and cloud-based application that enables customers to focus on their primary role; running their company. Our software should be used intuitively and should aid them in their endeavors, not hinder them or hold them back.

What-is situation

To-Increase owns a solution available on Business Central for Food Manufacturing & Distribution companies. This solution has been sold worldwide (USA, Canada, Denmark, Guatemala and New Zealand to name a few) and is being actively used and supported. We are dedicated to bringing new functionality to the market, based on customer feedback and wishes.

We are talking to our partners and customers regularly and we support them with guidance on implementations, feedback, bug-solving but we are also asking them for advice and information, as they are our source of information as well.

First year forecast for the role

You start by learning the application inside out. At the same time, you will be involved in testing new releases and new functionalities that have been developed. In time, you will act as 3rd line support for bugs or questions, you will provide information and demos in pre-sales cases and you will be more intimately involved in planning of Program Increments and executing the roadmap designed by the Product manager.

Desired deliverables, for your first year with us in the role of Product Owner:

In 3 months: Get to know the solution and be able to help test new releases In 3-6 months: Be able to provide pre-sales demos to prospective partners and customers. Start 3rd line solution-support

In 6-12 months: Be self-sustained Product Owner that provides input on solution direction to Product Manager, can provide implementation support for Partners and is capable to turn. You will also be able to provide training to new partners or consultants from existing partners

A day in the life as Food Product Owner at To-Increase:

You start the day with the DevOps dashboard, looking at the status and progress of new development and support issues. If this needs your attention, you will contact those involved and manage expectations.

Depending on request for demo’s or other partner-support, you will prepare for that, go through discussions with partners, discuss areas of concern and additional focus.

Depending on the time in the Program Increment Cycle, you will prepare new Epics, communicate with the partners and the team about the content of the Epics, create user stories and gather estimates. You will discuss these with the Product manager and make sure the PM is sufficiently equipped to support the Epic-requests in the Portfolio Management Board Meeting.

After approval, you will manage the lifecycle of the Epic, from start of planning, through execution through to delivery to the partner, which also includes the creation of the associated documentation and online help.

In general, we can say that no 2 days are the same at any time!

Overall role goal

You, the Product Owner play a key role in the enhancement of the Food Solution, which goes beyond functionality, but also focuses on technical platforms, documentation, customer/partner discussions. You are the right hand of the Product manager and the Development manager and you will pro-actively manage the team to deliver results.

What You Need to Be Successful (Minimum Qualifications)

-        Extensive functional knowledge of MS Business Central (NAV only is not enough)

-        Product Owner experience

-        Fluid in English, verbal and written

-        Team player

-        Ability to work with people from different continents

-        Analytical skills

-        Knowledge of MS CDS, PowerApps, AI

-        Knowledge of GIT
