HR Operations Specialist / HR Officer

As our new HR Operations Specialist / HR Officer your customers are our own people, and your focus will be on them. In this role, you will join an (international) HR team of eight that is set out to help create the best employee experience possible and work towards a true people-centric company.
You will be the first point of contact for our people, ensuring our internal people processes run smoothly. A big part of this role focuses on our new employees. You will step in the moment people accept their offer, making them feel welcome and excited. By liaising with our external partners, Employee Experience team members and managers, you will arrange all details for their start and ensure a great onboarding process. For this reason, we are looking for someone with a genuine interest in people, attention to detail, and the capability to juggle different tasks and multiple stakeholders at the same time.

You will:
- Be the first point of contact for our new and current employees
- Assist on our monthly payroll for the Netherlands and US, working alongside our payroll providers and finance department and providing relevant employee information monthly.
- Take co-ownership of our company-wide onboarding program
- Be responsible for fleet management in the Netherlands
- Liaise with external partners, such as our pension- and arbo-partner
- Organize and update personnel records in our internal HR systems
- Support in preparing HR documents, (e.g. employment contracts, role change- and salary letters)
- Share the responsibility for the maintenance of the HR mailbox
- Ensure smooth and personal internal people processes
- Participate in HR projects (e.g. employee surveys, onboarding, engagement, D&I initiatives)
What You Need to Be Successful
- Genuine interest in People
- Proven work experience (2+ years) as an HR Operations Specialist / HR Officer or in a relevant HR role
- Salary admission (we are working with Nmbrs)
- Hands-on and can-do mentality
- Ability to work accurately and independently
- Good organizational skills, with an ability to prioritize
- Solid knowledge of labor law in The Netherlands
- Strong phone, e-mail and in-person communication skills in Dutch (at least B-2 level) and English
- BS in Human Resources or relevant field
- Ready to work full-time or part-time negotiable 32/36 hours from our Amstelveen office and home (hybrid)
Nice to have
- Experience with working with HR software (we use BambooHR and Nmbrs)
- Experience with supporting the Dutch relocation processes
