Technical Solutions Architect Product Engineering

Your responsibilities:

Technical product ownership

A Technical Solutions Architect (TSA) is technically responsible for the product and entails;

  • responsibility for the product architecture
  • responsibility for the product designs
  • responsibility for the non-functionals (Performance, security, maintainability, usability)


Code quality

A TSA is technically responsible for the code quality of the product and entails;

  • responsibility for the reliability and robustness of the code
  • responsibility for the compliancy with (Microsoft) coding standards
  • responsibility for code re-use (instead of duplication)
  • responsibility for the defect density of the code


Functional quality

A TSA is responsible for the functional quality of the product (according to the specification of the product owner) and entails;

  • Check and approve the quality and completeness of the product designs
  • Arrange (in collaboration with SCRUM master) backlog grooming sessions with product owner and development team to prepare the backlog and get a better understanding of the requirements
  • Not accept incomplete backlog items (requirements) being scoped in a sprint


Project quality

A TSA is responsible for the;

  • advise for solution direction for any custom development
  • task level estimates of custom development


Microsoft platform developments research

A TSA is responsible to monitor and research Microsoft platform developments, which entails pro-actively coming up with proposals when these platform developments are (like D365 platform developments, Azure developments) impacting the functionality or technology from his/her application product.


A TSA is expected to:

  • communicate with fellow TSA’s in the architecture board meeting to align and sync solution architects in R&D
  • be a mentor/coach to junior team members

What you need to be successful in this role:

  • Minimum 5 years of experience with Microsoft Dynamics AX in Finance & Operations
  • Knowledge of Microsoft stack (Azure, BI, SQL database, service bus) and staying up to date with the new possibilities it provides
  • Knowledge of Object Oriented Programming and Design Patterns
  • Experience with different hardware- and software platforms and virtual environments
  • Ability to create and keep oversight on the Customer’s technical landscape and give sound advice regarding it
  • Great team player that can guide and motivate the team
  • Good communication skills
  • Strong command of English
