To-Increase software development organization is expanding as we look to transform our technology and move seamlessly to the Cloud. We are looking for a Quality Assurance Manager who will bring leadership and focus to manage our Quality Assurance Community of Practice (CoP).

The successful candidate is an experienced software testing and automation leader who understands all parts of the software deployment lifecycle, including design, development, documentation, testing and operations.

The candidate should be able to plan and coordinate complex discussions across teams, working with technical and non-technical users, including software developers, product managers, marketing, and support teams. We need someone who is comfortable building teams, developing staff, and leading by example. The candidate must possess strong verbal and written communication skills, be self-driven and deliver high quality results in a fast-paced environment.

Your responsibilities

  • Being an advocate for Best Practices and a Quality First mindset throughout the company;
  • Managing and growing the QA Community of Practice;
  • Assuring our products are compliant with our QA Best Practices, KPI’s and Metrics;
  • Assuring new and refactored features are free of defects, generate test plans for new features;
  • Taking ownership of the defect correction workflow within the Customer Operations and Product Development team(s);
  • Conducting ongoing Quality Governance of our Product Portfolio;
  • Setting up, scripting, and running independent performance, security, and automation tools;
  • Identify Quality Assurance needs from other Lines of Business and our Customers;
  • Translation of Quality needs into operational execution programs;
  • Writing and implementing Quality plans for new features and products;
  • Organizing daily (operational) – weekly (tactical) – monthly (strategic) Quality Assurance Community Meetings;
  • Employ best practices in engineering, test strategy, and test management to develop comprehensive testing frameworks and infrastructure
  • Focus on both application quality and security
  • Supervise the work of the Quality Assurance Team
  • Develop dashboards to communicate Quality status to the teams, managers and customers
  • Grow the QA community by identifying the strengths of individual team members, enabling individual for growth and satisfaction, as well as identifying future needs in terms of skills and capacity

What You Need to Be Successful (Minimum Qualifications)

  • At least 7 plus years of experience working through the design, development, release cycle, and delivering software products to market
  • 7 years of software testing and automation experience with 2 years leading people.
  • Bachelors or Masters in Computer Science OR related technical discipline. Equivalent experience also considered.
  • A record of successful delivery of software solutions as an individual contributor, team leader, and/or development manager
  • Proven experience in developing and implementing a Quality Assurance strategy tailored to the needs of our internal standards and customers’ expectations
  • Experience developing Quality Assurance plans and implementing them with a high degree of automation
  • Strong understanding of the software testing techniques and principles.
  • Hands on experience with test automation frameworks and tools.
  • Strong leadership, project management skills, time management skills, and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to lead through ambiguous situations and seek clarity.
  • Take End to end accountability of product development touching Requirements, Design, Development, Deployment and Support.
  • Lead and mentor teams of dedicated engineers to effectively test and deliver high quality products in an iterative Agile or Kanban environment.
  • Communicate well - Provide clear, concise and accurate reports for senior leadership.
