What You'll Do

As a Scrum Master you’ll develop and lead high-performing, multi-disciplinary teams, instilling in them a clear vision and a passionate drive. You’ll play a leading role in fulfilling the vision, driving the ongoing development of our products and setting standards for our teams to follow. 

 The Scrum Master plays a key role in the definition, development, implementation, and ongoing improvement of Agile practices (with an emphasis on Scrum) within the organization. You will drive sprint planning, retrospective, and daily activities related to stand-ups and sprint management; as well as maintain and report on relevant metrics that help the teams see and understand their progress during a sprint. You own and resolve identified impediments. You will help improve our environment where continuous improvement of the development process is the focus and everyone’s common goal is to deliver outstanding software as fast as possible to our customers. The Scrum Master will be responsible for leading the continual Agile transformation and practices as well as promoting accountability and transparency across all levels of the To-Increase organization.

 

You will:

  • Coaching and mentoring team members on agile standards and best practices, i.e., DevOps, SAFe, Scrum, Lean, LeSS, etc, effectively guiding the team and organization on how to use Agile/Scrum practices and values to delight customers.
  • Providing all support to the team using a servant leadership style whenever possible and leading by example.
  • Collaborating closely with Product Owner to prepare and clarify the product backlog.
  • Facilitate agile ceremonies, e.g. backlog grooming, preplanning, planning, daily standups, sprint reviews, retrospectives.
  • Removing impediments/blockers or guiding the team to remove impediments/blockers by finding the right personnel to remove the impediment.
  • Challenging and improving the operation of the team, improving their performance and capabilities.
  • Building a trusting and safe environment where problems can be raised without fear of blame, retribution, or being judged, with an emphasis on healing and problem-solving.
  • Changing the culture of the teams towards a “changes welcome” culture based on transparency, trust and high-level collaboration.
  • Assessing the Scrum Maturity of the team and coaching them to higher levels of maturity, at a pace that is sustainable and comfortable. 


What You Need to Be Successful (Minimum Qualifications)

  • Bachelor’s or master’s degree in Software Engineering or equivalent field
  • Experience in executing the Scrum Master role for at least 5+ years for a software development team that was diligently applying Scrum principles, practices, and theory.
  • Certifications in the field is a must. Good skills and knowledge of servant leadership, facilitation, situational awareness, conflict resolution, continuous improvement, empowerment, and increasing transparency.
  • Experience in managing Development teams in a fast pace environment (2+ years)
  • Experience in coaching and mentoring people, getting the best out of people (5+ years)
  • Excellent English communication skills, both verbal and written
  • Team player and used to work in an international environment
  • Planning skills, deep drive into details when needed.
  • Should have Pro-active and ‘can do’ attitude
  • Product Owner Experience is a plus
  • Agile Coach Experience is a plus
  • SAFe experience (certification is a plus)
  • DevOps experience
  • Knowledge of other Agile approaches: XP, Kanban, Crystal, FDD, etc. is a plus
  • Experience building Business Applications on top of Microsoft Platforms is a plus
