What You'll Do

We are in need of a hands-on Product Manager that has a solid background in Business Intelligence & Analytics solutions with experience in the customer value that we need to deliver.

You are able to set direction but also can play a role on the deepest level of our portfolio to support the daily operation. Once you are working for To-Increase, you will become responsible for our growing set of offerings in this domain on both Business Central, Finance, and Supply Chain Management but also on Azure and CDS. You’ll get the chance to help build out this new domain within To-Increase.

Our Domain Strategy is focusing on Business Intelligence and Data Analytics offerings for our customers operating globally in different industries. This journey starts with our first product Data Insight Studio which is a Dynamics D365 Finance and SCM offering to support pre-defined data-export and includes standard PowerBI report sets to support our customers in their operation. The next step it to further grow this domain with more products to support our customers considering ML, Big Data, Robotics, and beyond and more importantly our focus on building platform-independent solutions that can potentially be connected to any ERP.

You will be able to define the vision for the future state of the Business Intelligence & Analytics offerings, but also a roadmap on the transition to that state. As you go you always keep in mind the bigger purpose of To-Increase and the goals that are defined, as well as the market changes and disruptions.

Using the roadmap, you will translate the 3-year roadmap to 1-year goals and down to individual Epics that will be executed within a Program Increment.

The content of the Epics is clear to everyone, has been discussed with the team, has received consensus from the team, and has been estimated towards time needed to develop. You will then present these Epics for approval to our board and report back to the team to let them develop. Once an Epic is ready, you will take ownership by accepting the solution, and together with our Marketing Leads you will work together to inform the world what we have done and the added value we deliver.

Of course, one of your main focuses is to create, maintain, and leverage direct contact with partners, customers, and potentially other stakeholders, as they are part of your source. With ease and confidence, you should be able to take the stage and present our offering, process, and results.

What-is situation

The domain Business Intelligence & Analytics is a new domain for To-Increase that has to support our verticals Discrete Manufacturing, Rental and Lease and Process Manufacturing with operational and strategical insights. On top of that, this domain should play an important role in all of our Horizontal domains Data Integration Tools, Integrated Risk Management, and Enterprise Mobility with important data-insights.

Product development wise we can say that there is already a foundation layer; Data Insights, AX build and PowerBI based Reporting tool. The next in its evolution needs to be, to make this software solution platform & industry independent. You will drive & lead this initiative.

The potential of this domain is that we bring turnkey solutions to some of the biggest worldwide customers in the Manufacturing and Rental and Lease industry. The total number of customers we have at the moment is 2200 where this domain can play a vital role!

We have several solutions on Finance & Supply Chain Management as well as on Business Central, but we also have the important move towards Microservices.

First-year forecast for the role

You start by making the solutions your own, both in terms of business value and functionality, but also in terms of future, roadmap, vision, potential, and people.

At the same time, you will be involved in testing new releases and new functionalities that have been developed. In time, you will act as 3rd line support for bugs or questions, you will provide information and demos in pre-sales cases and you will be more intimately involved in the planning of Program Increments and executing the roadmap

During that period, you will be immersed in the Program Increment process of creating Epics, estimating them, defending them to the Portfolio Management Board, prioritizing the PI planning, involvement in PI-updates and retrospectives.

At the same time, you will reach out to existing and potential new customers to present and discuss the solution, the vision, gather ideas, and feedback.

Based on all this information, you will then update your vision document and the roadmap, and you will define and discuss the Epics with the team that, once delivered, will materialize your roadmap as a tangible change in the product.

A day in the life as Product Manager at To-Increase:

You start the day with the DevOps dashboard, looking at the status and progress of new development and support issues. If this needs your attention, you will contact those involved and manage expectations.

Depending on the request for demos or other partner-support, you will prepare for that, go through discussions with partners, discuss areas of concern and additional focus.

Depending on the time in the Program Increment Cycle, you will prepare new Epics, communicate with the partners and the team about the content of the Epics, create user stories, and gather estimates. You will make sure you are equipped to support the Epic-requests in the Portfolio Management Board Meeting. After approval, you will manage the lifecycle of the Epic, from the start of planning, through execution to delivery to the partner, which also includes the creation of the associated documentation and online help.

No day is the same, there is no average day. Hectic is the key, remaining calm is the objective.

Overall role goal

As a product manager, you play a primary role in defining and setting the vision, strategy, and roadmap and feature definition for your products within its domain and you ensure that they are aligned with the overall To-Increase strategy towards the future. You are responsible for guiding the success of your offerings and will guide the cross-functional team that is responsible for building and improving it. Especially since this is a new domain that is about to be built, you at the same time will be involved in testing new releases and new functionalities that have been developed.

You are an experienced presenter and evangelist of your domain and offerings, who is easily able to present the vision and direction internally, on events, at customers, partners, and other stakeholders worldwide. Furthermore, you play a vital role in the marketing of your product portfolio.

What You Need to Be Successful (Minimum Qualifications)

  • Minimum of 3 years’ experience as a Product Owner or Product Manager in Business Intelligence
  • Deep understanding of Business Intelligence – the business value
  • Experience with PowerBI or other reporting platforms
  • Minimum of 3 years’ experience with ERP solutions suite
  • Analytical skills to determine market and trend viability
  • Be an expert with respect to the competition
  • Fluid in English, verbal and written 
  • Self-driven, motivated individual with the drive and confidence
  • Team player 
  • Ability to work with people from different continents 
  • Knowledge of MS CDS, PowerApps, AI is a plus
